The eDNA Society International Meeting 2023 (eDNA2023) was held at PIAZZA OMI in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture, for three days from May 17 (Wed) to 19 (Fri), 2023. This conference held in front of a memorable place, Lake Biwa, in the history of Japanese eDNA research was chaired by Dr. Minamoto (Kobe University), and Dr. Yamanaka served as chair of the Executive Committee.
